TREE OF LIFE Western Red Cedar was ”the Tree of Life” to native people, providing clothing, shelter, canoes and fibre. The strong paper cover here was made from Cedar bark fibres that gradually emerge as cordage to form a Celtic knot. In tribal societies it is a form of respect to display lineage. Several different native plant papers are used in the book.
The Journal follows the seasonal progression of life in a pristine area of undisturbed forest.
